The Barnardo's Big Toddle is the biggest fundraising event for under fives! It is a short, sponsored walk which last year saw almost 500,000 todders register nationally!

All money raised goes to local Barnardo's projects for children under five based in the UK. Its all about children helping children.

There is an event on 1st July in Brighton and you can register on-line http://www.bigtoddle.co.uk/

I shall not be taking part....I cannot even walk a few yards at the moment....only 7 days to go until my due date!! Anna

Fairtrade Awards at Glastonbury

Well I thought Glastonbury was all about music, tents and drinking!!

Well yes it is but I found out today that the Soil Association, Fairtrade Foundation and Greenpeace for the fourth year running will be awarding traders at the event who demonstrate they have done the most to give their businesses the lowest impact on the environment.

There are 2 gold awards, 2 silver awards, best organic trader and best trader doing the most to promote the fairtrade ethos.

I think this is a great idea, take a look at the website for further details and I am sure they will advise the winners next week www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk

11 days to my baby is due!!

Well I am on countdown now to the birth of my second child which I am looking forward to but these last few days do seem to go on and on.....

I am struggling now to keep up with my two year old which is making me feel very frustrated as i am normally a very active person. (used to run three times a week) So she thinks it is a great game to run away as I cannot catch her!!

Cathy bought me a great breastfeeding top from www.mamafeelsgood.com which I wish I had had the first time around, as you do get stared at in a public place for doing the most natural thing!

I have been very dis-organised and I have only just bought a double buggy so that I can walk into town with the two of them. Except I did manage to get £40 off the RRP price as it was in the summer sale so it was obviously meant to be!!

Will keep you posted when I do finally have my baby

"Mums Like You" - New Social Networking Site for Mothers

"Mums Like You" is a new on-line community/network for mums to support and help each other.

The founder, Iveta Tancheva, decided to change careers in order to have more time with her daughter. Iveta has created a dedicated site to support other mothers to stay connected & find new friends.

"Mums Like You" is for mums to chat, share stories and recommendations in a fun and safe environment. Motherhood is thrilling but can also be very hard work, especially when you have to juggle work, home and family! Sometimes just talking to someone can make a huge difference!

"Night to Remember" - Saturday 20 June

"Night To Remember" is a ladies Midnight walk (in Sussex) raising money for St Barnabas House.

1,200 ladies have signed up for the challenge to walk 13.1 miles from midnight!

One of our friends is getting ready as we write this article to do the walk on Saturday...! Is it the lack of sleep or the walk that is the toughest part?

Last year a team of nurses from St Barnabas were named as the best fundraising team - they raised an incredible £3433.49!

Our Day in London - Photo Shoot for Sunday Times Magazine

Our Photoshoot in London...

We started the day by getting ourselves and the girls ready - up at 7am, washed, fed and everything packed. Two buggies and four bags of clothes, food, and drink later... we were ready!

Our Dad kindly picked us up in his car and we travelled on the 9.30am train from Haywards Heath. Cathy's daughter decided that she wouldn't sit still and then had a tantrum for 20mins on a packed train!

We eventually arrived at Holburn Studios at 11am and we had a lovely welcome from everyone. There was a hair and makeup artist, stylist, photographer, runner and the picture editor from the Sunday Times.

First thing we had to do is have our hair and make up done. We decided that we wanted to look different (as we are twins and wanted to look slightly different) - Cathy had her hair curled and Anna had hers straight with both of us going for a natural look with makeup.

The stylist then had fun with us, as Anna is 8 months pregnant, they only had one maternity dress! After two outfit changes, Anna had a flowery dress and then Cathy had to try on five dresses to see which would look good next to Anna! Dress chosen was a little big so had large paper clips and pins holding the dress tight at the back!

Whilst this is taking place our dad is feeding the girls and looking after them. It was great that he could make the day as it was very helpful to have an extra pair of hands. The girls were absolute stars and as good as gold.

Photocall... the brief, that we are very excited and happy about our new business success in the economic recession! (which we are) Lots of posing and smiling.. and our girls running around and joining in the shoot.

1.30pm we are finished! we are both buzzing from such a fantastic experience and very excited about being included in the Magazine. Such an insight into what is needed for all National magazine pictures.

Home by 4pm and both exhausted - but would love to do it again!!

We will let you know the confirmed date for the article shortly.

We are very excited as our company Molliemoo is to be featured in the Sunday Times Magazine at the end of this month.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) we are travelling up to London with our two girls to have our photograph taken in a professional studio for the article.

They are even supplying clothes, hairdresser and stylist etc, so should be a great experience.

We will advise the date that we will be shown in the Magazine as soon as we know

Bike Week 2009 - 13-21 June 2009

Want to enjoy this weather?? Bike week is the UK's largest mass participation cycling event.

The aim of the week is to encourage us all to get more out of life by getting a bike and exploring the local community. Hopefully this will make us thinking about walking or cycling short trips instead of getting in our cars.

Please take a look at their website http://www.bikeweek.org.uk to find a number of family rides taking place around the country during this week.
