Choosing a good Nursery...
I recently have been looking for a nursery for my daughter (now 21 months) and did not realise all the things that you need to think about when choosing one!
My twitter friends provided the following link which helped immensely.
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/baby/workandchildcare/nurserygood/
I have to say though, from my experience, you do have to check all the items listed but you do have to rely heavily on your instincts.
The first nursery I attended was clean, tidy and the staff were very friendly. They do daily activities and that morning that were painting with the children (well the children were painting themselves) and they were have such fun.. but it was all controlled, and when my daughter started playing with some of the toys, I just knew she would be happy there.
The second nursery was completely different. I walked in the door and it was chaos.. and all the children were being very noisy but not in a controlled fashion. All I wanted to do was leave.. and I wasnt a child!
Hope this helps any mums trying to find a nursery, as it is so important that it is right for you and your child.

Love Parks Week 25 July - 2 August
I visit my park with my daughter every week and I have found out there is an actual Love Parks Week!!
The perfect excuse to get outdoors and enjoy the summer with your children. They are being held to celebrate all that parks have to offer, so why not visit your local park during the campaign to show what it means to you? They are an asset to every community and this week is held to make sure there is constant investment and support for these parks.
Take a look at http://www.loveparksweek.org.uk to see what events are in your area. Unfortunately there is nothing being held in Sussex but there are quite a few being held in London and other areas of the country.

Cathys Wedding Day 18 July 2009
Cathy and Mark's wedding day was brilliant. A fantastic ceremony at St Marys House in Bramber, Cathy looked beautiful in a full length Ivory dress. Her daughter did take some of the limelight during the ceremony by banging her feet on the wood flooring which made everyone laugh...even the registrar :)
Afterwards, we had drinks out in the beautiful gardens and then went on to Cromwells Restaurant near Small Dole for the wedding reception.
The food and speeches were excellent. The band for the evening were very good, and they had the dance floor filled with people all night, including our daughters!!
They are off to Croatia in a weeks time for their honeymoon. They have booked a villa right on the sea front which has a white sandy beach, very jealous!!
